Scope of Services:   The existing Wastewater Treatment Plant was modified into a Pumping Station by replacing the existing influent pumps, including modification to the influent channels, new grit, odor control, chemical feed, emergency generator, instrumentation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural and architectural facilities, by-pass pumping during the reconstruction to maintain facility and water quality effluent standards. Install a new seven (7) mile, 30" effluent force main to the new treatment plant, 12" / 16" return discharge line from the new treatment plant to the original outfall. The existing wastewater tank and facilities were demolished at the completion of construction. Used Value Engineering to reduce project costs by $710,675.00 to allow the town to include new drainage facilities, landscaping, and construction of new park and parking lot at the site of the existing treatment plant.
